Thwaites Original
A beer that’s as Original today as it was in 1807, when Daniel Thwaites himself began brewing. A clean dry tasting and refreshing session bitter with a glowing amber appearance. Brewed using premium grade Maris Otter malt and a blend of traditional English Hops including Goldings and Fuggles to give a malty flavoured beer with a delicate dry finish ~ 3.6% ABV
Nutty Black
One of only four ales to ever win the Champion Beer of Britain twice! Daniel Thwaites uses only the finest dark kiln roasted malts, English barley and select fuggles and goldings hops to create this bittersweet dark mild with a deliciously dry finish ~ 3.3% ABV
Wainwright
Exquisitely lovely golden ale. Named after Alfred Wainwright, the renowned Lakeland author who was born in Blackburn, Wainwright is a refreshing golden ale with subtle sweetness and delicate citrus fruity overtones ~ 4.1% ABV
Lancaster Bomber
Award winning full-bodied chestnut coloured ale with an inviting malty aroma and warming aftertaste. Two Times Gold Medal Winner in the European Beer Star Awards (2007 & 2011) Silver medallist in the International Beer Challenge 2012 ~ 4.4% ABV
1807 Club
The Royal Oak is part of the exclusive 1807 Club. As memebers we will be serving the Signature range of seasonal ales for 2012 along with a guest beer from another brewery.
